WHEN GOD IS
PLEASED WITH YOU
Many of us
know David as a king. More than this, David was also a prophet, a shepherd and
a dancer. The first time we heard about David was because God was angry with
someone. One important thing that we need to learn right away as we study the
life of David is that God always has a substitute. Also, we must learn that God
can reject people. When God rejects a man, what follows next is destruction.
The common trait in almost all cases of the people rejected by God is Pride.
God resists the proud. Furthermore, the Lord’s decision is always final. God is
not a democrat. If it were to be by vote, David would never have become king.
God is an autocrat.
The almighty
God said that David was His choice. What kind of person will God choose? God
will choose the foolish. God will choose the weak. God will choose the people
that are regarded as nothing. If you are already wise, it will be difficult for
God to use you. A foolish man is likely to do whatever God says. If he needs
wisdom for anything at all, he will ask God and God will give him divine
wisdom. If you already strong how can God give you strength? If you are already
something, it becomes difficult for God to use you. The representatives of God
are always given the power of God. If you would ever be a successful choice of
God, you must receive power.
When the
Holy Spirit came on David, he departed from Saul and demon took over. If you
allow God to fill you with the Holy Spirit, you will begin to see the glory of
God even while you are here on earth. It is dangerous to be discarded by God.
When spirit of God left King Saul, evil spirits came to trouble him. It is far
better never to have been used by God than to become a former vessel unto
honour. Once God discards you, the devil will take over.
David was
also a valiant man. The
people that do know God shall be strong and they shall do exploits. All you have to do is to know God.
All power belongs to God. If the almighty God is dwelling in you,
automatically, you will be very strong. David was a handsome person but God did
not choose him because he was handsome. Physical beauty has very little to do
with God’s dealings. The kind of beauty that God is interested in is inner
beauty. God is not keen in outward beauty that not comes from inner beauty. We
are also told that God was with David. When God is with someone, several things
follow. The first thing that follows is that God if God is with you, it means
that He is backing you up. When God is backing you up, opposition will be
crumbling. Divine protection is also guaranteed if God is with you. If God is
with you, any fire that the enemy may prepare for you will only burn the yokes
in your life. If God is with you, when the time comes to go, you will sing all
the way home.
When God is
with you, it follows that you must be just. When God is with you, anybody you
meet will be blessed. Divine favour also follows if God is with you. When God
is with you, you will begin to get supernatural promotion. If God is with you,
wherever you are, you will succeed. If God withdraws from you, there, there
will be trouble. If you lose Christ, then you have lost everything. God is more
than sufficient. If you are finding things difficult now, hold unto God, you
will surely laugh last.
The only
promise you can rely on is that of the almighty God. God has promised that you
will be more than conqueror. Do not play with anything that is contrary to the
will of God. Flee from anything that will cause you to annoy God. If you are a
backslider, if you can go back to your source; go and get fresh fire from God.
